Dr. John Chisholm is a native Southern Californian. He grew up in the South Bay region of Los Angeles, and first came to the San Diego area to attend college at the University of San Diego, receiving his bachelors degree in Biology and Biochemistry.
This was followed by podiatric medical school in San Francisco, CA and surgical residency in Lakewood, CA.
Dr. Chisholm established his practice in Chula Vista in 1990, and has been an active staff member at Scripps Mercy Chula Vista Hospital. He has been very active in his profession organizations, both locally and nationally. He served as president of the San Diego County Podiatric Medical Society for 2 years, and has held many positions in the California Podiatric Medical Association and American Podiatric Medical Association. He is currently the Secretary/Treasurer for the CPMA.
Dr. Chisholm and his 3 children have lived in the San Diego suburb of Rancho Penasquitos for over 25 years. He has been very active in youth and high school sports, serving as basketball coach at Mt. Carmel High School for 13 years. He currently enjoys surfing and has traveled all over the world searching for the perfect wave. He is also a triathlete and has completed the Ironman event 5 times. He is an active member of the Triathlon Club of San Diego.
